On November 7th, Clarke High School hosted its second (albeit online for this year) iteration of Clarke Fall on NAQT's IS-195. Scalene Triangle of Missouri took the win, but let's see how some of New Jersey's own performed!

High Tech: Max Brodsky and Deepak Gopalakrishnan put up two more impressive performances, finishing with 60 PPG and 66 PPG respectively. They led High Tech A to 2nd at the tournament, finishing with a 5 point loss to North Carolina SSM in playoffs and a 10 point loss in finals. They again established themselves as one of the top teams in the region, defeating strong opponents in Connecticut's Choate and Scalene Triangle (in playoffs), and finishing with an impressive 24.17 PPB before the tournament switched to tossup-only.

A depleted High Tech B and C put forth respectable 4-5 and 3-6 performances, each bouncing back in playoffs after a tough morning session. Ayush Bobra's 63 PPG for B team and Ranvith Adulla's 55 PPG for C team show potential for High Tech's future, and the incredible depth they possess.

Livingston:

A depleted Livingston A bounced back from a 2-3 prelims session to go undefeated in playoffs, finishing 7-3 overall. Sophomore Jeffrey Xu finished with an impressive 58 PPG, while lit specialist Rosa Xia added 55 PPG of her own. Commanding afternoon wins after two close prelims losses show that Livingston has a lot of potential this coming season.

Livingston B, composed largely of newer players, was led by Akshat Thakur's 53 PPG. The team again improved in playoffs, going 2-1, with their one loss by a margin of five points.

Ridgewood: The last of the New Jersey teams! Ridgewood played without top scorer Aum Mundhe, but finished with a 6-3 record. Nick Pruitt put forth a heroic 109 PPG playing solo in the afternoon, finishing the session 4-1. His performance, and Aiden Dartley's 65 PPG morning performance, leave Ridgewood as a sleeper team on the circuit this year.

The next tournament will be Ithaca Fall on 11/21; signups have closed, but more information can be found here, and our guide to online quizbowl can be found here. Congratulations to all the teams who played at Clarke, and a big thank you to the Clarke team for hosting. Stay safe, and good luck at your upcoming tournaments!
